The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has already confirmed the payment dates in July for families benefiting from food stamps and households of 4 members in some states could receive up to $1,937 dollars next month.

Funding for this program comes from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in order to provide low-income families, monthly payments to ensure food security.

In most states, the same amounts are distributed to households exception of Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and the United States Virgin Islands where payments are equated with the high inflation of the area.

Payments in Alaska are distributed to three zones: Urban, Rural I, Rural II. In the first area the maximum amount is $2,246 dollars, while in the other two the highest payments are $2,865 dollars and $3,487 dollars respectively. In this state, Families of four members receive up to $1,937 dollars, meet all the requirements and also live in the area determined as Rural 2.

In addition, beneficiary families in Hawaii also receive up to $1,759 dollars, in Guam the amounts for a household of four people reach $1,434 dollars; and in the Virgin Islands the payment can be up to $1,251 dollars.

The SNAP benefit is transferred monthly to an EBT card with which recipients can purchase basic foods at retail stores, grocery stores, agricultural supermarkets, among others that are authorized by the program.
