The 2025 Honda Civic arrives with an innovative hybrid model

The new version of Honda Civic sedan 2025 makes its triumphant entry into Honda dealerships, accompanied by an exciting addition to the family: the hybrid model.

This launch marks a milestone in the evolution of the Civic, which has been recognized as the 2022 North American Car of the Year, and now features significant improvements in styling, technology and an innovative hybrid-electric powertrain.

The introduction of the hybrid-electric model, available in both sedan and hatchback versions, is a key step in Honda’s electrification strategy, expected to represent approximately 40% of Civic sales.

This new option broadens the Civic’s appeal, combining energy efficiency with powerful performance.

The 2025 Honda Civic sedan is offered in four trim levels: LX, Sport, Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid. The base model, Civic LX, has a starting MSRP of $24,250, excluding the $1,095 destination charge. On the other hand, the Civic Sport Hybrid, equipped with a hybrid-electric powertrain, starts at $28,750.

According to Lance Woelfer, vice president of Auto Sales at American Honda Motor Co., “Our new 2025 Honda Civic will bring new energy to what is already the No. 1 compact car in retail sales in the United States this year, capturing more than 25% of the compact segment.

The Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid models follow the strategy of the Accord and CR-V models, offering the highest levels of equipment with Honda’s powerful and efficient two-motor hybrid-electric system.

With 232 lb.-ft. of torque, these are the most powerful Civics ever made outside of the Type R, providing faster acceleration than the previous Civic with 1.5L turbo engine and achieving impressive EPA fuel economy figures of 50 mpg city and 49 mpg combined.

To further enhance the Civic’s legendary fun-to-drive spirit and class-leading ride comfort, the Civic Hybrid’s ride and handling dynamics have been optimized with a unique calibration of springs and dampers, and a specially developed tire.

Hybrid models also enjoy the levels of NVH lower in the Civic line, with a robust noise reduction package that includes Active Noise Control (on all hybrids) and wheel resonators (on Sport Touring).

The Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist and safety technologies is standard on all Civic models, with enhanced safety performance by 2025, including increased system visibility for motorcycles and bicycles in the Collision Mitigated Braking System (CMBS). with Pedestrian Detection.

An unprecedented success, award-winning 11th-generation Civic is the gateway to the Honda brand and the most popular vehicle in the United States among Generation Z, first-time buyers and multicultural customers. The Honda Civic has been the best-selling compact car in the United States since 1973.

The refreshed Civic Hatchback, including the first hybrid Civic Hatchback, will arrive in dealerships later this summer. The 2025 Civic Type R and updated 2025 Civic Si models will be announced in the coming months.

All models of the 2025 Honda Civic feature an improved exterior designwith a new, more aggressive front fascia and redesigned grille, while new dark taillights give the sedan a sharper look.

For an even sportier look, more powerful hybrid versions feature a body-color headlight garnish and a front lower spoiler.

Offering customers greater choice, the Sport versionthe best-selling model, is now available with a new, more refined and fuel-efficient 2.0-liter engine, or the 200-hp hybrid-electric powertrain.

With the new 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine and retuned continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), EPA combined fuel economy ratings for Civic LX and Sport models increase to 36 mpg (+1) for the LX and 34 mpg (+1) for the popular Sport trim.

A new machine-finished wheel design is exclusive to the range-topping Sport Touring Hybrid, which also features the first Google integration built into the Civic.

This includes applications like Google Assistant, Google Maps and more on Google Play for a useful, personalized and connected driving experience, with a complimentary 3-year unlimited data plan.

The Sport Touring Hybrid It also adds leather seats, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system and intuitive technology, including a larger 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility, and a wireless smartphone charger.

Four new colors, including Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, Blue Lagoon Pearl (exclusive to Civic sedan) and Sand Dune Pearl (exclusive to Civic hatchback), enhance the appearance of the 2025 Civic.

Inside, the Civic’s simple and clean interior design has also been refreshed. Hybrid models are available with a new gray interior color. All Civic models now come standard with front USB-C ports.
