Guillermo Ochoa He is one of the leaders of Mexican soccer who must plan how he will continue his career. Memo was released after Salernitana’s relegation and was linked to Brazilian football club Corinthians.
Memo was not called up by the Mexican team for the Copa America 2024. This is why all of Ochoa’s concentration falls on his personal career.
After being released with Salernitana, Memo has not yet signed a contract with another team. Corinthians would have losses under the goal and this would create a gap for hiring another goalkeeper.
“Cassio’s departure and the imminent transfer of Carlos Miguel at Nottingham Forrestin England, force Corinthians to look for a new goalkeeper”explains the local portal, Ge.globo.
In this sense, the same report mentions Guillermo Ochoa. Undoubtedly, one of the attractions of the Mexican is his status. Being a free agent, Corinthians only has to negotiate the signing of a contract. “Mexican Guillermo Ochoa, 38 years old and with five World Cups under his belt, was offered to Corinthians”, indicates the report.
Memo will have to wait
If this hypothetical approach progresses, the club will not be able to make the link official for another month. The reason is that the player transfer and registration market begins on July 10.
“There is still no considerable progress in the option for the Corinthians goal. It is worth remembering that the Corinthians will only be able to sign a goalkeeper after July 10when the Brazilian transfer market opens,” the report clarifies.
Since 2003, Guillermo Ochoa has defended the goal of several clubs. Memo has dressed in the colors of the Club América, Ajaccio, Málaga, Granada, Standard Lieja and Salernitana. In addition to Corinthians, the San Diego FC has been another of the clubs linked to the Mexican.
