Mexican Alexa Moreno wins gold at the Gymnastics World Cup in Slovenia prior to Paris 2024

The Mexican gymnast Alexa Moreno continues at full speed with its preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and this Saturday the gold medal was won during the first day of competition within the Gymnastics World Cup that is taking place in Slovenia.

The 29-year-old gymnast, who has already secured her ticket for the universal event that will take place starting next July 26 and which will be her third Olympic Gamesclimbed to the top of the podium in the Jumping test after completing a great presentation.

Alexa Moreno finished the competition with a score of 13,600 points that allowed her to surpass the Croatian Tijana Korent (12,900) who took the silver medal and the Austrian Leni Bohle (12,775), who completed the podium of the test.

With this jump, Mexican Alexa Moreno won the gold medal in the Jump event at the Gymnastics World Cup currently taking place in Slovenia.

The Mexican has just gotten her first medal of 2024 recently in the World Challenge Cup that took place last week in Bulgaria where she won the bronze in this same Jump event behind the local Valentina Georgieva and the German Karina Schoenmaier .

The one born in Baja California is having a very encouraging Olympic cycle with the firm objective of surpassing the records she has left in her two previous appearances at the Olympic Games, the most recent in Tokyo 2020 where she finished in fourth place in the Jump.

Gold in the Vault and silver in the All Around team at the 2023 Pan American Gymnastics, five medals, two of them gold in Floor and Vault at the Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador 2023 and another gold in the World Cup of Paris, are some of the achievements on the road to Paris 2024.

After this performance, the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM) took the opportunity to highlight the achievement of the Mexican athlete with a message on their social networks in which they praised her gold medal at this World Gymnastics Championship in Slovenia.

“Victory for Alexa Moreno! The Mexican gymnast climbs to the podium at the 18th FIG ART World Challenge Cup Koper, Slovenia, 2024, by adding 13,600 points in the vault final, in her preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.they wrote in their official account.

Alexa Moreno is one of Mexico’s main cards for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games where the Aztec delegation will also have its sights set on what the artistic swimming team, the marcher Alegna González as well as the diving team do.
