The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 114-111 and were one victory away from reaching the NBA finals.

The Boston team overcame an 18-point lead with a stellar performance by the Dominican Al Horford.

The stars of the Celtics were Jayson Tatum with 36 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists, plus 23 points and seven triples from the Dominican Al Horford, who also starred with three blocks.

Those from Boston have won all five games played away from home in this postseason and will have the first game ball this Monday, again at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, to return to the stage of the NBA Finals.

The 37-year-old Dominican appeared in the decisive moments for the Celtics, with some spectacular blocks on Obi Toppin and a powerful three-pointer that brought the Celtics within two points with one minute left.

Jaylen Brown contributed 24 points and Holiday finished his game with fourteen points, nine assists and three steals, the last of which was key when the Pacers had the last potential possession, down 111-112.

Al Horford thanks Boston Celtics for their support

The Dominican Al Horford highlighted this Saturday that he feels “very grateful” to have the opportunity to compete in the Boston Celtics, after contributing with 23 points and seven three-pointers in the 114-111 victory at the Indiana Pacers’ field that left them just one victory away from the NBA Finals.

“I am blessed to be in this position, to play at this level, to be part of a team like the Celtics. I give everything to contribute and I am grateful, this is very special,” Horford said in the press conference after the Indianapolis game.

Horford made seven triples, the best mark of his career, and at 37 years old he continues to be an essential leader for the Celtics.

“We knew it would be difficult for us. They were undefeated at home.. They played with energy and my desire was to continue competing. It was difficult, it is difficult to win away. I give a lot of credit to our group,” she said.
