Chris Sununu, governor of New Hampshire, attacked Gavin Newsom, president of California, to the point of describing him as an “imbecile.”
During an informal chat at the Reagan Institute Education Summit in Washington, DC, the newspaper DailyMail mentions that The 49-year-old Republican assured that the relationship between the governors is good, except for two characters with whom he does not agree.
“Look, almost all governors get along well. In my eight years, there have actually been maybe only two, maybe a third, but two governors that no one really likes, nor does anyone particularly care about,” he noted.
Asked who the characters in question were, Sununu spoke frankly, as he maintains that the majority of his colleagues, both Republicans and Democrats, do not like them either.
“Andrew Cuomo (former governor of New York)… complete idiot, no one likes him. And I must be honest. Nobody cares about Gavin (California governor), he’s just a jerk, excuse me. He just is,” she emphasized.
Sununu even mentioned that not even the Democratic governors can stand the Californian president because of his arrogance.
“It’s really disappointing. We all got along for a while, but even the Democrats (they won’t say it out loud), but behind closed doors they say, ‘Oh God, look who’s coming.’ “Everyone rolls their eyes,” she expressed.
The comments of the president of the “Granite State” acquire greater notoriety if one takes into account that Last year the version gained strength that Gavin Newsom intended to run for the Democratic nomination for president, but respecting Joe Biden’s hierarchy, he chose to contain his desire while waiting to compete until the next electoral process.
This action meant that the 56-year-old politician was well seen within the Democratic Party, because in an election as competitive as expected, the ideal is to send citizens an image that is far from internal disputes as the Republicans have shown. led by Chris Sununu himself in declaring his opposition to being represented by Donald Trump on the ballot.
So far, there has been no reaction from Newsom’s work team to the controversial statements issued about him.
