Juan Carlos Osorio would be very close to returning to direct in Mexico. The Colombian technical director would be the main candidate to take over the reins of the Tijuana Xolos looking ahead to what will be the next Liga MX season.

According to several press reports, one of them from Brenda Alvarado of FOX Sports México, the South American coach would have well-advanced negotiations to become the successor of Miguel Herrera in the Xolos, a position for which the names of Benjamín Mora and Diego Cocca.

According to the information disclosed by Alvarado, the negotiations between both parties are on the right track and it is expected that the Colombian technical director will end up signing a contract until the end of next year, although there are still some details to be defined.

Juan Carlos Osorio, 62, led the Mexican National Team between 2015 and 2018, directing El Tri in the 2018 World Cup in Russia as well as in the 2016 Copa América Centenario, 2017 Confederations Cup and 2017 Gold Cup. .
