Instacart and Uber Eats announced a partnership between both brandsin which customers will be able to enjoy a restaurant delivery within the grocery application.
In a statement shared by both companies, Instacart noted that its customers in the United States will see a “Restaurants” tab within its application in the coming days. That means now They will be able to order meals from restaurants, which will be delivered by Uber Eats drivers.
“Our goal is to make it easy for people to go anywhere and get anything,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber. “We are excited that this new strategic partnership with Instacart will bring the magic of Uber to more consumers, generate more business for restaurants and create more earning opportunities for couriers“.
Instacart Plus Memberswho pay $99 per year or $9.99 per month, Get free restaurant delivery for orders over $35, just like when they order food. Regular Instacart partners will be charged Uber Eats delivery fees.

Instacart currently controls about 25% of the U.S. food delivery industry, behind Walmart with 51%, according to YipitData, a market research company.
Meanwhile, Uber Eats noted that The agreement with Instacart would bring more customers to its partner restaurantsespecially in suburban neighborhoods, where the food delivery company has more users.
According to documents filed before its initial public offering last summer, Instacart said it had 7.7 million monthly active users. However, neither company could say how many of those users are also Uber Eats customers.
