Excellent news for fans of the series “The Boys”, because just a few weeks away from welcoming the fourth installment of this story It was announced that the Prime Video production will have a fifth season.
This news was announced during the inaugural Prime Video programming presentation, where Eric Kripke, creative head of the series, said he was more than happy to be part of this production.
“The cast and crew are deeply grateful to Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios for the opportunity to tell this story for another season. My only problem is that, since this year seems to be free of conflict and misinformation, we are not sure what to write”, said.
For her part, the president of Sony Pictures Television Studios, Katherine Pope, celebrated the success that “The Boys” has achieved since its first season: “We couldn’t be more proud of our producers, writers, cast and crew who bring this crazy genius to life. Now that there will be a fifth season of the story, we can’t wait to see where Eric Kripke and The Boys go next“, he indicated.
While filming for the fifth season begins, users will be able to enjoy the fourth installment of “The Boys” starting next June 13, with three episodes, followed by a new weekly episodeand will culminate with an epic season finale on Thursday, July 18 exclusively on Prime Video.
According to the entertainment giant, in the fourth season the world is in danger. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office, under the control of Homelander, who is strengthening her power. And Butcher, who only has a few months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his role as leader of The Boys. “With the danger growing, they must find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late,” the synopsis reads.
This edition of “The Boys” will see actors such as: Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, return to their iconic roles within the story. Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Cameron Crovetti. However, New talents are also added to the production, such as: Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
