For several years Victoria Justice He was one of the main stars of the channel Nickelodeonthanks to his roles in the series “Zoey 101” and “Victorious”. Now has given his opinion about the content of the documentary series “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV”in which several actors and actresses accuse the producer Dan Schneider sexual harassment and workplace misconduct.
In an interview for the most recent issue of the magazine Marie ClaireJustice, 31, spoke about it: “Something that was very evident in the documentary is that Dan had a very big ego, and sometimes that ego clouded his better judgment and affected the way he treated people.and there were times when I felt like I was being treated unfairly.”
Victoria auditioned to act in series Nickelodeon when she was 12 years old, and most of the time she was accompanied by her mother. She described several scenes that were supervised by Schneider as “in bad taste,” but also acknowledged that it was Schneider who gave her the opportunity to work there.
“At the end of the day, my relationship with Dan is very complex,” the actress said. “He completely changed my life. Chances are I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for him. For that I will always be grateful.” After the transmissions of “Quiet On Set” The producer published a video apologizing to many people for his actions, but in recent days he sued the series’ production team for defamation. “After seeing his apology, I think he recognizes that he did a lot of things wrong and I think if he could go back in a time machine, he would do a lot of things differently. “I would say that I am definitely among the people on that list,” commented the former protagonist of “Victorious”.
Finally, Victoria Justice clarified that she currently has almost no contact with Dan Schneider, and that he does not tolerate any of the behavior he had at that time. The actress has returned to her role as a singer and, independently, has released the single “Raw”whose video clip has more than 372,000 views on Youtube.
