The other threats from the CJNG to artists for concerts

This is not the first time that the CJNG threatens artists who will perform in Tijuana, one of the “crown jewels” of drug trafficking, over which it has disputes with other criminal groups.

In September 2023 the fashionable singer, Featherweightwas threatened with death if he appeared in the border city, so the performer decided to cancel his concert, arguing that his objective was to protect the fans and the team.

On that occasion, narco-banners were also hung on pedestrian bridges, which read that if he performed, it would be his last concert, “for disrespectful and loose tongue”. According to the weekly Expansión, Peso Pluma has admitted to having written some songs commissioned by bosses.

A month after that threat, another one with similarities was raised, on that occasion the target was the group Ruled Force: “We are going to give them their mother on October 6th at TJ. It will be the last presentation of her bitch life,” the narcomanta read.

Same as Double P, the group decided to cancel their presentation so as not to risk the safety of his followers or the staff.

At the beginning of 2023, another violent event devastated Tijuana, because during an autograph signing by Risky Group a shootout broke out. After that, a narcomanta appeared against his then vocalist, Panter Bélico: “Go and grab your gun and your radio so you can sing corridos wherever you can because here you are going to fuck your mother,” it could be read.
