The member of the group “OV7”, Kalimbatoday faces a new wave of accusations, including those of the actress and singer Gala Montes, who pointed him out for having experienced an alleged humiliation on his part during one of his concerts. How did the famous person react? Here we tell you.
In a meeting with several media outlets, the performer of songs like “Tocando Fondo” and “Se te olvidó” responded to the actress after saying she was humiliated for not being included in a musician’s show to sing a song that belonged to both of them and inviting someone else in her place.
In this regard, Kalimba was forceful with his position: “I have songs with Reik, with Has, with Sin Bandera, with Natalia Lafourcade, with María Barracuda, with Pancho Barraza, with Cristian Castro… and I don’t feel bad if they sing with another artist, I have seen Sonora Santanera sing with other artists in their concerts and They don’t feel bad because they have no obligation to raise me.”he explained.
Likewise, he explained that unlike what is believed, these types of decisions fall on his work team and not on him: “Every decision you made is not only for me, but also for the company I formed, Kalimba. “My managers, my record label… I’m not the only one who makes the decisions.”
He insisted that his actions were not with bad intentions and regretted that the victim herself, Gala Montes, did not come to him to clarify things before leaving to give statements on the matter.
“Things are taken out of context when you don’t know how the industry works. I love Gala very much, and if she felt bad it is because she felt that way. She always had the right, the place and the space to talk to me.”said Kalimba to turn the page.
For her part, actress Gala Montes has not commented on the singer-songwriter’s statements and has preferred to keep a low profile on her social networks regarding this issue, focusing on her project on the small screen, the melodrama “Vivir de amor.”
