After the recent controversy over the Michael Jackson biopicaccused as an attempt to whiten the image of the king of popwho was accused on several occasions of sexual abuse, the film’s producer assured that the film will address these accusations.
Recently, Dan Reed, director of the documentary Leaving Neverlandtold Sunday Times who read the script Michael and He assured that the singer’s biopic dismissed the accusations of sexual abuse of minors against the artist.
“It is an absolute attempt to completely rewrite the allegations and dismiss them outright, and it is complete lies. “She is not even seen alone with any children, when the truth is that she shared a bed with small children for many years,” Reed said.
After these statements, Graham King, producer of the biopic, responded to Reed’s accusations and assured that the film will address everything.
“There are biopics and then there is Michael Jackson. An enigma, full of eccentricity, electrifying talent, possibly the most famous artist to ever grace the planet. And yet, behind the relentless scrutiny, accusations, and overwhelming media attention, he was simply a man. A man who lived a very complicated life,” King said this week at CinemaCon.
“The film will cover it all, including more than 30 songs, recreating some of the most iconic performances on stage, as well as his life outside the public eye,” he added.
Although the film has not yet finished production, Lionsgate presented a trailer for the film at CinemaCon, in which you can see Michaelplayed by Jafaar Jackson, along with the Jackson 5 performing “ABC”.
Until now, It is not known how the multiple accusations of sexual abuse of minors will be addressed for which the singer was singled out in the last years of his life.

The film, which began filming in January, will star Jaafar Jacksonson of Jermaine Jackson and nephew of Michael Jackson’s singer.
In addition, The parents of the king of pop, Joe and Katherine Jackson, will be played by Colman Domingo and Nia Longrespectively.
The actors who will play the four members of the Jackson 5, in their young and adult version, are Jamal R. Henderson and Jayden Harville, who will play Jermaine Jackson; Tre Horton and Jaylen Lyndon Hunger will play Marlon, Rhyan Hill and Judah Edwards will play Tito, and Joseph David-Jones and Nathaniel Logan McIntyre will play Jackie.
The biopic, directed by Antoine Fuqua, is produced by Graham King, responsible for films such as Bohemian Rhapsody, while the script is written by John Logan.
The film, which is expected to hit theaters in 2025, will portray the triumphs, tragedies, human side and creative genius of the singer. which became a worldwide phenomenon, according to the film’s official description.
