The heads of state and government of the G7 will hold a video conference this Sunday (04/14/2024) “to talk about the Iranian attack against Israel,” announced the Italian government, which currently presides over the group of main Western powers.
The meeting was urgently called after Iran launched a night attack with more than 200 drones and missiles against Israel, in response to a bombing against its consulate in Damascus on April 1. The unprecedented Iranian attack was “thwarted,” according to the Israeli military.
“We express our deep worry for greater destabilization of the region and we continue working to avoid it,” Meloni expressed on the X social network.
