Donald Trump is open to continuing to support Ukraine in the war conflict that it has had with Russia for two years, but he clarifies that he would only do so in the form of financial loans with the commitment to be covered later and no longer as a gift.

During a meeting he held with Mike Johnson, speaker of the House of Representatives, at his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, The man who aspires to govern the nation again referred to the support that the United States has given to the government led by Volodymyr Zelensky and the need to reconsider it.

“We continue to give gifts worth billions and billions of dollars, and we will look at it. We are thinking of doing it as a loan instead of just a gift”, he pointed.

He then referred to the obligation that European countries have to provide greater resources to support a nation located in their same geographical area.

“For me, the fact that Europe has to step forward and they have to give money is much more important. They have to match. If they don’t tie, It makes me very angry because it affects them much more than it affects us.“he emphasized.

So far, Trump’s supporters have blocked the passage of aid for Ukraine from the House of Representatives, which is controlled by the Republican Party.

It should be noted that, Even though the US government has provided multimillion-dollar support to Ukraine in the form of military and humanitarian assistance, it ran out of funds near the end of last year. approved by Congress to continue with their support for President Zelensky.

Since then, the Kremlin’s armed forces have intensified their attacks against Ukraine with a good chance of winning the war.since his army is running out of ammunition and has even been forced to retreat from the battle line, losing some cities that he had controlled.

In this sense, although last month the US Senate approved a national security financing package of $95 billion, which included $60 billion in aid for Ukraine, the president of the House of Representatives has been reluctant to present the bill on the grounds that there are other priority issues.
