Real Madrid defeated Osasuna 4-2 and continues to assert itself as the absolute leader of La Liga just before the break for the FIFA double date.
The Madrid team had two goals from the Brazilian Vinicius Jr., Brahim and Dani Carvajal who sentenced an Osasuna who competed until 1-1.
With this victory, Real Madrid is 10 points ahead of Girona, although with one more match played after 29 rounds.
Madrid has scored four goals in the last two consecutive games. He scored four against Celta at the Santiago Bernabéu and four against Osasuna. Both games have been without Jude Bellingham, who ended his two-match suspension for a red card.
Real Madrid thrashes an Osasuna that ran out of gas
Real Madrid went to Pamplona to add 3 points and remain in first place in the table. Osuna came in asleep and in a play, Vinícius Jr. stole the ball from a central defender and calmly defined to open the score 1-0.
The home team equalized after a corner kick just three minutes later. Budimir was left alone and with a subtle left-footed shot he tied the score.
After there it was all for the meringues. With a great collective play and stringing together several passes, Federico Valverde gave a pass to Carvajal who defined and added another goal to his career.
The game went into the second half, but continued with the same trend. Valverde again assisted Brahim, who chose to represent Morocco and not Spain, to score a goal with his right foot.
In the fourth goal, the Uruguayan recorded his third assist of the game with another pass to Vinícius who scored a great goal to put the game away.
Federico Valverde joins Ángel Di María, Mesut Özil, James Rodríguez and Luka Modric as the last players to add three assists in the same game.
Osasuna finished off the match with a goal from Iker Muñoz that struck down Lunin to end the match.
