Lizzo denied Jennifer Lopez. Recently, JLo said that some artists, including the “Good as Hell” singer, refused to participate in her new movie, This is Me…Now: A Love Story; However, the singer said that no one invited her to participate.
This week, in a TikTok video, Lizzo responded to a clip from the documentary by JLo The Greatest Love Story Never Told in which a crew member says Lizzo was one of the famous faces “unavailable” to make a cameo.
“No one told me anything,” Lizzo said in the video. “No one asked me J Lo, I love you,” she added.
Entertainment Weekly attempted to contact a rep for Jennifer Lopez for comment regarding Lizzo’s video, but did not receive a response.
Lizzo’s statements come days after it was revealed in the documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told that several stars refused to participate in production, including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge and Snoop Dogg.
The documentary, which shows the process of making This Is Me…Nowfeatured figures such as Jane Fonda, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Post Malone, Kim Petras, Keke Palmer, Jenifer Lewis, among many more.
The Greatest Love Story Never Told premiered this week on Amazon Prime Video and also shows many intimate moments in the life of Jennifer Lopez.
This week, There was one of the scenes that caught everyone’s attention: one in which she cries when talking about her relationship with Ben Affleck.
In the scene JLo talks about how her relationship with Affleck has had a positive impact on her self-esteem and self-perception.
“What he said, what he saw in me and what he made me believe about myself, can only come from love. Because no one else could have made me see that in myself. “It’s very moving,” says the singer between tears.
In the documentary JLo and Ben Affleck also remembered what led them to end their relationship in 2003just three days before getting married.
“When Jen and I broke up before, the catalyst was the enormous amount of scrutiny surrounding our private lives,” says the actor, who confessed that he asked the singer when they got back together not to make their relationship a media circus on their social networks; however, he later relented because he understands that she is a public figure.
“Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a social media relationship. Then I realized it wasn’t fair to ask him. It’s like you’re going to marry a sea captain and you say, ‘Well, I don’t like water,’” Affleck says.
After their separation, JLo assured that those years were very difficult for her to cope with. “During all those years it was very difficult, because not only did I feel like I lost the love of my life, but also the best friend I ever had,” López confesses. “And I couldn’t speak for so many years, and that was the hardest part,” he says in the documentary
