The senator from Vermont pressured the administration headed by Joe Biden not to provide more financial and arms support to the Israeli prime minister in the war conflict that, under the argument of eradicating the members of the Islamic group Hamas, has caused the death of more than 30,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

In fact, on Thursday more than 100 Palestinians were annihilated in Gaza City by Israeli soldiers and nearly 700 others were injured while trying to access humanitarian aid.

In this regard, during an interview given to the television channel MSNBC, Sanders indicated that the time has come to stop US financing for the head of the Jewish nation who has abused his power facing a population incapable of repelling their offensive.

“Not one more cent for the Netanyahu government if it is going to continue with this widespread massacre of the Palestinian people. “We need to do more to end this unprecedented humanitarian disaster,” she said.

The 82-year-old politician demanded that President Joe Biden force the Israeli government to open the borders to allow the entry of trucks with food, water and medical supplies intended to alleviate the complex situation in which more than a million Palestinians find themselves.

From the perspective of Bernie Sanders, it is completely absurd that the position assumed by the US government by attempting to send humanitarian aid to the population trying to survive in the Gaza Strip, but at the same time providing financial and weapons support to the Israeli army to attack it.

“Those weapons and those planes are largely, or significantly, paid for by American tax dollars. We cannot continue supporting this far-right government. No more money,” he asserted.

However, in the middle of the week and from Tel-Aviv, Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement ensuring that the majority of Americans support his fight to eradicate terrorism and therefore the support that his government provides to the Jewish nation.
