The fight against fentanyl trafficking in Mexico continues, as does the production of the deadly synthetic opioid, but the Mexican authorities have managed to deal certain blows to organized crime, and the most recent occurred in the state of Sonora, where a huge shipment of this drug, which was valued at 19.5 million dollars.

Dismantling of huge drug laboratory
In a few weeks this is the second major blow that has been dealt to organized crime in Sonora, since in recent days the Secretary of the Navy (Semar) reported on the dismantling of a huge drug laboratory, the largest dismantled so far in the administration. of the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
It was located near the border with the United States, the target market of criminal groups, at the site they manufactured methamphetamines, 80 tons of this drug were found, which in the illegal market has a value of 600 million dollars.
In the clandestine mega laboratory, 72 reactors, 102 condensers, 32 centrifuges were found, as well as vehicles, motorcycles, trailers and various materials related to the production of synthetic drugs.
Also found were 35 tons and 250 kilograms of drugs ready for sale, methamphetamine in the form of crystal stones, more than five tons of chemical precursors, which would be used to produce about 41 tons of methamphetamines.
