Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello finalized their divorce. After seven months of announcing their separation, it seems that the former couple reached a divorce agreement.
According to the magazine Peoplewho had access to the divorce documents, Vergara and Manganiello entered into a written agreement regarding their assets and their marriagewhich is appearing or has been presented to the court.
The magazine also reported that, apparently, Manganiello asked the court to end spousal support for both parties.
With respect to assets and material goods, TMZ He reported that Both will be able to keep what they accumulated individually during the seven years in which they were married.
The news of the divorce finalization comes a month after Vergara will explain, in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País, why they decided to divorce.
“I just divorced my second husband, who I was with for 10 years. My marriage broke up because my husband was younger. He wanted to have children and I didn’t want to be an old mother. I feel like it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that is no longer for me,” she confessed.
“I had a son when I was 19, who is now 32, and I am ready to be a grandmother, not a mother,” Vergara added about her son Manolo, the result of her relationship with Joe González.
Ready for the media whirlwind
Recently, in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, SofíaVergara assured that she was prepared to face the media whirlwind that was unleashed with the announcement of their separation in June 2023..
“You’re out there (in the public eye) and people know that’s part of being a celebrity. I knew it was going to happen. “You can’t hide those things,” said the actress.
The actress was always aware that, being a public figure, her separation process was subject to public scrutinybut – to her surprise – the media coverage of her divorce was done with respect, something that the actress appreciated.
“It wasn’t bad. I think, you know, I have to say that the press was very respectful and very kind. In July, Vergara and Manganiello issued a joint statement in which they announced their decision to divorce after seven years of marriage.. Both asked that their privacy be respected.

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello met at a White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2014. At the time, the actress was engaged to another man.
When it became known that Vergara’s engagement was over, Manganiello asked her out. Shortly after, the actors announced their relationship and in December 2014, Manganiello proposed to Vergara.
The actors married on November 22, 2015, at a ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida.
