Pat Mahomes, father of Patrick Mahomes, He was arrested this Saturday in Tyler, Texas, after being arrested for driving while intoxicated.

The charge of being arrested while intoxicated of the third degree or more could carry a penalty of being found guilty at a hearing.

Mahomes was released this Sunday on $10,000 bail. This is the third time that the former Major League player and Patrick’s father is arrested drunk.

He pleaded guilty to a previous arrest for a similar crime in Texas in 2018 and was sentenced to 40 days in jail, which he served on weekends.

This arrest occurs just one week before Super Bowl LVIII in which Patrick Mahomes will be in charge of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. is 53 years old and played 11 seasons in the MLB with the Minnesota Twins between 1992 and 1996, with the Boston Red Sox from 1996 to 1997, two more seasons with the New York Mets in 1999 and 2000; His last three seasons were spent with the Texans Rangers, 2001; Chicago Cubs, 2002; and Pittsburgh Pirates in 2003.

He also played in the Japanese Central League with the Yokohama BayStars.

The father of the two-time champion and two-time Super Bowl MVP has attended several Chiefs games to support his son this season.

Until last week I had planned to be present on February 11 at Super Bowl LVIII in which Kansas City will face the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Patrick Mahomes’ brother also has a record

In addition to his father, Mahomes’ brother Jackson has also been in trouble with the law.

Last May he was arrested for aggravated sexual harassment; he was released after paying a bail of $100,000 dollars.

In January of this year, Kansas state prosecutors dismissed the charges against Jackson, who has been seen in the Chiefs box at several games this season in support of his brother.
