Ryan O'Neal was buried next to Farrah Fawcett, his partner for many years

On December 8, the American actor died Ryan O’Nealdue to heart failure, and his funeral was held last weekend at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

According to The Daily Mail25 people attended the event, including Leigh Taylor-Young, O’Neal’s ex-wife, and their son, Patrick. Ryan’s remains now rest next to those of the actress Farrah Fawcettwho was his partner for more than 25 years and mother of his son Redmond James.

O’Neal and Fawcett began their relationship in 1979 and separated in 1997; In 2001 they spoke again, when he was diagnosed with leukemia. They remained together until 2009 when the actress died of cancer, at age 62. Patrick (who works as a sports commentator) shared on his account instagram videos and photos in which he appears next to his father. An image shows the actor’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and accompanied it with the message: “A meaningful trip to Hollywood today.” 😔

For its part, Tatum O’Neal, Ryan’s eldest daughter, remembered him shortly after his death, reporting that after many years of estrangement they reconciled: “I feel great sadness over the passing of my father. He meant a lot to me. He loved him very much and I know he loved me too. “I will miss him forever and feel very lucky that we ended on such good terms.”

Ryan O’Neal rose to fame for his role in the 1979 film “Love Story,” for which he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor. It was followed by successful films such as “What’s up, Doc?”, “Paper Moon” and “Barry Lyndon”. Starting in the 1990s, her appearances in movies began to be less frequent, but in 2003 she earned good reviews for her role in the television series “Miss Match”in which he shared credits with Alicia Silverstone. Quite apart from his work as an actor, Ryan often made the covers of tabloids due to his volatile personality, his infidelities, and his children’s accusations of emotional abuse.
