Protesters block vehicular traffic in the area of ​​​​Los Angeles International Airport

This Wednesday morning, a group of pro-Palestinian protesters blocked vehicular traffic in the area of ​​the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)which caused chaos in the middle of the Christmas and New Year travel season.

The authorities declared the meeting illegal of the group that was protesting on the main access avenues to the air terminal due to the war that has been going on since October between Israel and Hamas.

The problems due to the demonstration was first reported shortly after 8:00 a.m. at 1 World Wayand moments later, around 9:18 a.m., he moved to Sepulveda Boulevard and West Century Boulevard.

Around 9:20 a.m., Los Angeles International Airport police reported that the group of protesters had blocked the road with cement blocks, cones and other objectsbesides themselves.

The demonstrations caused Heavy automobile traffic along Century Boulevardin front of the Sheraton Hotel, on one of the busiest travel days of the year.

Los Angeles Airport Police advised people needing to enter or leave the area to use Sepúlveda Boulevard, Arbor Vitae Street and Airport Way.

At approximately 9:30 am, the demonstration took a turn when the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers They got involved to try to evict the group of people who were protesting, who ran in different directions.

Around 10:10 am, it was reported that around a dozen protesters had been arrested.

“The ceasefire is not enough” and “Free Palestine,” they said some of the posters worn by several of the participants in this demonstration in Los Angeles.

Although some of the avenues have already been cleared, there was still an intense vehicular load around the airport.
