Authorities reported on Sunday Five minors, including three young children, died in a house fire in northwest Arizonain an incident in which no adults were apparently present.
Bullhead City Police said the fire started around 5:00 p.m. Saturday. The preliminary investigation indicated that The victims were unable to leave the two-story duplex. in that community near the Colorado River.
A spokeswoman for the city’s fire department said: The five victims were 2, 4, 5, 11 and 13 years old.. Their names were not immediately released Sunday.
Authorities, cited by The Associate Press, said that The cause of the fire is not yet known.
According to reports, there were no adults in the home at the time, but officials noted that they are still investigating under what circumstances the unfortunate event occurred.
The fire is being investigated by the city’s police and fire departments and other agencies, including the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Last Tuesday night, authorities also reported that One child died and another was injured after a Christmas tree caught fire at a house North Carolina prefab.
Firefighters were called to a house on Fanning Pointe Lane in Winston-Salem around 6:30 p.m. and when they arrived they found it completely engulfed in flames, Winston-Salem Fire Department spokeswoman Tabetha Childress said, according to the Associate Press.
The fire started when a lighter accidentally got too close to the Christmas treeChildress added.
Structural damage was estimated at $20,000.
Also on Tuesday, Four people were found dead in a burning house in a rural area of southeastern Indiana.
Tuesday after responding to a fire in Madison, which is located along the Ohio River, state police said in a statement cited by The Associate Press.
The names and ages of the dead were not immediately released.
The fire and deaths were under investigation. Autopsies will be performed to determine the cause and manner of deaths, the police said.
