Madonna angered her fans by arriving late to one of her shows. On Wednesday, the singer arrived almost three hours late for the opening concert of her The Celebration Tour in the United States, which began in New York.
The show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn It was supposed to start at 8:30 pm, but it started almost at midnight. The excitement of the almost 20,000 spectators turned into anger towards the “Material Girl” singer.
The fans did not forgive Madonna for the hours of waiting and When she came out they yelled at her and booed her.; However, the anger did not last long.
As the show progressed, tempers calmed down and the fans began to enjoy the show. Even, Some said the wait was worth it..
During the show the singer toured her discography and performed her greatest hits such as “Material Girl”, “Hung Up” and “Vogue”. The show ended after midnight.
Why did the singer leave late?
Rumors about the reasons why the singer arrived late did not wait. Many fans speculated that Madonna left the show late due to health problems related to a bacterial infection that caused her to delay her tour earlier in the year.
Others claimed that the delays were part of the experience of seeing the singerso they were not surprised by the hours of waiting.
However, a source close to Madonna told PageSix that There were some technical problems during the sound checkwhich caused the 65-year-old singer to get a late start.
“She arrived so late that people booed her and left before she even got on stage. Madonna has two more shows left at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, one this Thursday and another on Friday. The singer has 45 more concerts in the United States.
Until now, The Celebration Tour is expected to end in April 2024 with five dates at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, which the singer will record for a film.

In October, Madonna began her The Celebration Tour in Europeafter suffering a health problem that left her intubated in the intensive care unit for a few days due to a bacterial infection.
The Celebration Tour will be Madonna’s twelfth tour, and with it she intends commemorate her 40 years linked to the world of music. Four decades that have established her as the female artist with the most albums sold in history – more than 300 million copies – and have brought her 7 Grammy Awards.
