In 2016 Kanye West released a song called “Famous”whose lyrics included a line that mentioned Taylor Swift; She later denied that she had given authorization for it, but kim kardashianthen wife of rapperpublished a conversation in which Swift apparently agreed to let West mention her in that track. Furthermore, he wrote in his account x (so Twitter) the message: “Wait, is National Snake Day legit?!?!? They have holidays for everyone, I mean everything these days!”, along with snake emojis.

The incident has been remembered in recent days, due to the statements that Taylor made to the magazine TIMEafter being named Person of the Year: “You have a fully manufactured frame, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then published, to tell everyone that I was a liar. That took me psychologically to a place I had never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid of receiving phone calls. I pushed away most of the people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I fell very, very hard.” (The call, unedited, was later published in Youtube and, in fact, The singer did not give Kanye West permission to include obscene comments about her in the letter of “Famous”).

Now, Taylor Swift fans have entered Kim Kardashian’s social networks to post snake emojis in the comments sectionin addition to demanding that the socialite publicly apologize for what he did seven years ago. One of the written texts says: “For all those who are saying that the fans and Swifties They are being petty and dramatic. This is exactly what they did to her, only 10 times worse.”

Taylor Swift made reference to these attacks in the video clip for her single “Look What You Made Me Do,” from her album Reputation2017 (It is said that she would soon begin recording a new version of that album, but it is not known if there would be a remembrance of that uncomfortable incident). At that time, the artist herself wrote in a message instagram -which she later deleted- the following: “Being falsely portrayed as a liar when I was never told the full story, nor was I part of that song, is defamation. “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative.”

So far, neither Kim Kardashian nor Kanye West have made any statement about the messages from Taylor Swift’s fans, nor about the effects of the edited recording. The socialite (along with her sisters Kendall JennerKourtney and Khloe Kardashian) is known for ignoring the comments and criticisms included in the photos published on her social networks, many of these focused on the use of Photoshop to retouch the images.
