It was in the most recent broadcast of her show that the American Idol winner spoke about it during the visit of former President George Bush’s twin daughters, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush.
Kelly Clarkson revealed some details of her story when the conversation turned to how our bodies change throughout life. There, the singer confessed that she has had many stages in which she weighed more than she would have preferred.
However, as is customary, the host of the ‘Kelly Clarkson Show’ turned to humor to illustrate what this journey towards a healthy lifestyle that has brought about weight loss has been like.
“I have loved losing weight, but here’s the thing, jeans are very difficult when you have a smaller butt and waist.“joked the performer of songs like ‘Stronger’ and ‘Because of You’ to the applause of the audience.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that the famous woman has opened up about her weight loss process, since it has been a topic that has followed her throughout her career. In an interview in 2017 she confessed that there was no shortage of criticism from her during her participation in the singing reality show ‘American Idol’, but her self-esteem allowed her to overcome it.
“On American Idol I was very skinny, but I was bigger than the other girls on the show, so people would say things to me,” she detailed to People. “I have a lot of self-esteem, so I have a lot of confidence (…) I never had a problem with shutting people up and saying: ‘Yes, you know, that’s who I am. It’s okay,’” she said.
