Jared Leto has added one more achievement to his list of successes. On this occasion, The actor and singer defied heights by climbing a part of the famous Empire State Building in New York to enjoy the majestic sunrise from the top of the most famous building in the world.
The vocalist of the Thirty Seconds to Mars group from the 86th floor to the 104th in an approximate time of 20 minutes, thus managing to climb almost 400 meters in height. According to reports, this was positioned on the base of the famous antenna, known as the “ice shield.”
“I reached the top and saw my mother in the window on the 80th floor, that was a pleasant surprise (…) When I was young I wanted to be an artist, and New York was the place to come to be an artist. And the Empire State Building was always that symbol for me,” declared the singer before the cameras.
Despite having achieved his goal, Jared Leto did not emerge unscathed. And he showed his left hand bloody due to the sharp corners of the Empire State Building.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Jared has undergone a feat of this type, since under his sleeve are listed: a climb to the wall of a hotel in Berlin without a harness, as well as a bungee jump on stage of his concert in front of thousands of people.
Although this achievement had a great personal impact, another reason was to promote the new tour of the group he leads, Thirty Seconds to Mars.. With this tour, they will reach Oceania, Europe, the United States and Latin America to perform the songs from their new studio album: “It’s The End of The World but is a Beautiful Day”.
“In many ways, this album is about chasing your dreams and pushing yourself to do what seems impossible. Climbing the Empire State certainly falls into that category for me. Just like traveling the world with my brother and sharing these concerts and unforgettable experiences with all of you,” concluded Jared Leto.
