The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said it was concerned that some customers still had the dinosaur nuggets in their freezers.

The contaminated nuggets were prepared on September 5 and shipped through distributors in Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin, iauthorities indicated.

In its alert, Tyson Foods described the metal pieces as small and flexible. The company said the recall was made out of an abundance of caution.

The USDA said people who have suspicious bags of nuggets should throw them away or return them to the place where they were purchased. Tyson added that consumers who purchased the affected item should remove the UPC and date code from the packaging, discard the product, and call or text 1-855-382-3101.

Only one minor oral injury has been reported so far after consumption of the product, the USDA said. The agency has not received any other reports of injuries or illnesses.
