Migrant Forcea non-partisan binational movement made up of Mexicans living abroad, invites the Mexican and Latino community living in the United States to support those affected by Hurricane Otis in Acapulco, Mexico.
Through a statement, Fuerza Migrante and the organizations that make up the Binational Platform announced that a campaign to raise monetary and in-kind funds was activated through their social networks for those affected in the state of Guerrero by the hurricane.
“The Fuerza Migrante campaign aims to raise awareness and raise monetary funds and in kind to help rebuild the lives and properties of the affected inhabitants,” says Fuerza Migrantes.
The non-partisan binational movement specified that has identified collection centers and donor organizations who have the legal capacity to distribute the goods received in Mexico due to having high standards of ethics, quality and commitment, thus ensuring that donations reach those who need them most.
Within these organizations are: Unidos por ellxs; Hispanics in Philanthropy; Mexican Red Cross; Origin Foundation; Cemefi (Mexican Center for Philanthropy) and UNAM Solidaria.
To make these donations, Fuerza Migrante disseminates on its social networks the account numbers where donations can be made.
In Mexico, several states as well as the country’s capital were made available to the population 52 Collection Centers for shipping items to be taken and delivered to the inhabitants of the state of Guerrero affected by the hurricane.
For your part The Mexican Red Cross also carries out its own information campaign for those interested who want to support the victims in the port of Acapulco, in the state of Guerrero.
