Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 at the Montjuic Olympic Stadium thanks to two great goals from Jude Bellingham, the jewel of Real Madrid who appears in his first big game with the meringues.

Barcelona was vastly superior in the first half thanks to a 3-5-2 formation that provided great attacks and that opened the scoring with a play in just six minutes of the first half.

Ilkay Gundogan took advantage of a ball that was floating in the air to position himself and beat Kepa with a right hand.

The Catalans had the best chances of danger and hit a couple of posts, although they could not increase the score.

For its part, Real Madrid did not seem to be in good shape in front of goal with a formation without forwards with Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo up front. Luka Modric started from the bench and star Jude Bellingham who is in great form in front of the net.

A second half from Jude Bellingham

Jude Bellingham has been one of Real Madrid’s best players in the short season. The Englishman came into this match with 9 goals in La Liga and with goals in the first three rounds of the UEFA Champions League.

In the 68th minuteBellingham received a pass on the edge of the area and took a right-footed shot who turned his hands on Ter Stegen and equalized the actions.

Real Madrid grew and was able to start playing a more effective game with Luka Modric and Eduard Camavinga who came on as substitutes in the second half.

And so in a play on the right wing, Dani Carvajal put in a cross that Modric brushes to assist Bellingham and with a simple touch under the legs of the German goalkeeper achieved the comeback as a visitor in Montjuic.

Bellingham is the seventh English player to play in a classic and the sixth to score a goal. The last one he scored in El Clásico It had been Michael Owen.

With this victory, Real Madrid remains in first position in La Liga with 28 points, tied with Girona.

Barcelona remains in third place in the table with 24 points, although with two more games from Atlético de Madrid, which has 22 points in nine games.
