Avilés Hurtado assures that Julián Quiñones must fight to be a starter for the Mexican National Team

A few weeks ago the forward of the Águilas del América Julián Quiñones received his naturalization letter that allows him to be called up by the Mexican National Team. Attacker Avilés Hurtado gave his opinion on what could happen in the first call of the azulcrema team forward.

The player of the team Braves of Juarez stated in an interview for Fox Sports that the Águilas striker will face what all naturalized players experience when they are called up for the first time, opinions against, a sector of the fans that does not want to see him play and the press that refuses to see him as part of the national team.

“Although there are people who do not agree, there are those who do support it. The important thing is that he feels supported by the people who want him to be there and to do it in the best way. It’s not like he’s going to make it to the Mexican team and earn a place right away, he’s going to have to fight because Mexico has very high-quality people.”commented the forward.

It must be remembered that the Mexican National Team has players such as: Hirving “Chucky” Lozano, Uriel Antuna, Santiago Giménez and Raúl Jiménez, among others. All with different characteristics and with a long history in the “Tri”.

In the seasons that Hurtado wore the Monterrey shirt, there was a lot of talk about his possible call-up to the Mexican team due to his naturalization process, but in the end the Mexican striker declined to join his native country.

“Since I was a child, my dream has always been to be on the Colombian National Team. I feel like I didn’t do it wrong. Unfortunately, it happened once and it didn’t happen again, but I don’t regret it. My dream was to represent my country Colombia, suddenly the times did not help me, they removed the coach who was there at the time and the process was cut short,” said the Bravos de Juárez forward.

We will have to wait for the plan that Jaime Lozano has with Julián Quiñones, because the Club América forward has a large number of qualities that can help the green and white team in the next World Cup.
