Mexico is a country that for years has faced the problem of machismo, which is why various institutions recognize women who leave their mark in different areas with their work. While a ceremony was being held to recognize outstanding women, a fight occurred between two of them in the Sonora Congress.
It was during the award ceremony for the Power of Sonoran Women’s Award that the the fight between two reporters who didn’t care that there were colleagues and relatives of the laureate women, as they got into a fight involving blows and hair pulling, causing the attention of those present to focus on them and, of course, they recorded a video that ended up on social networks.
The recording shows two women pulling each other’s hair and hitting each other from time to time, which is why a man decides to intervene to separate them. The reporter in yellow clothing scolds the man and tells him that the other woman was the one who attacked her. The other reporter responds by hitting him.
The communicators were identified as Erika Llaguno and Mirtha Castro. Although the reason for the fight is unknown, the Excelsior newspaper reports that one accused the other of going from office to office asking for money, “You are a disgrace to the profession”he told him while showing the video with which he proved his statements.
It was that action that aroused the fury of the aggrieved reporter, who threw her colleague’s cell phone and thus began the fight that captured everyone’s attention and left recognition of the women in the background.
Until now, it is unknown if either of the two journalists was sanctioned for the fight they took part in in the Sonora Congress.
