Sergio “Checo” Pérez had a spectacular race in the Japanese Grand Prix With two crashes, two abandonments, he received a penalty, reviewed the virtual Safety Car and his touch with Kevin Magnussen. This caused several drivers from other teams to talk about his performance in the race.

After finishing the race, Kevin Magnussen He commented that: “Pérez made us spin and ruined the race for us. I think (Pérez) penalizes himself. “There’s a natural penalty for doing that, it doesn’t look good for him, but it is what it is, we’re running and he was in a shitty position and he made a shitty move.”

Also Lando Norris had some strong statements against the pilot of the team Red Bull after almost being hit by him when he was in the virtual safety car.

“I was going very slowly and when the indicator at the end of the VSC came on, (Pérez) put it in first gear and I was out because it was going very slowly, and then he almost collided with me. So I honestly have no idea,” he said.

These are not the first criticisms that the Mexican driver has received this season, throughout the year he has been criticized for the inconsistency he has shown and his poor performance. After this, the Red Bull team commented that Sergio Pérez will continue with the team for next season.

At the moment, the native of Guadalajara is in second position with 223 points, only surpassed by his teammate Max Verstappen.
