Southern California lottery player to receive $5.4 million prize by matching five of the six numbers in the drawing this Saturday, September 23, for the Powerball lottery.

The California Lottery reported that the lucky ticket was sold at Thirst Quencher Liquor, 440 North Glenoaks Boulevard, Burbank.

The ticket owner matched the numbers 1, 12, 20, 33 and 66 to obtain a purse of $5,422,749.and he was only missing the Powerball number, which on this occasion was 21, which would have represented him winning the main prize of $750 million dollars.

Because there was no grand prize winner, The Powerball lottery purse can reach $785 million dollars for the drawing scheduled for the night of this Monday, September 25.

The California Lottery reported that other five tickets sold in the Golden State earned $22,588 in prizes after matching four numbers in addition to the Powerball number.

This Saturday night’s jackpot was the eighth largest in the history of this game and third largest in 2023after a main prize of $754.6 million dollars obtained by a winning ticket in Washington in February, and the purse of $1,080 million dollars won by a ticket sold in Los Angeles in July, and which until this Sunday has not been announced to the winner.
