The fifth annual edition of Champions Cup, match that pits the MLS and Liga MX champions against each other. On this occasion, the champions LAFC and UANL Tigers will join forces to hold community events in both Los Angeles and San Nicolás de los Garza, Mexico; In this way they hope to support youth development and bet on the stars of the future.

For the second time in Campeones Cup history, these community events will take place in both countries, reinforcing the commitment of Major League Soccer and Liga MX, as partners, to be a force for positive change and create impact in both communities.

LAFC Betting on the stars of the future

LAFC, in partnership with the LAFC Foundation, Nicks Kids Soccer and the Kellyn Acosta Foundation, will present a renovation of a soccer field in the Watts neighborhood on Monday, September 25, they will also have the support of Nicks Kids Soccer. This launch will aim to benefit hundreds of children weekly.

Nevertheless, Nicks Kids Soccer supports at-risk youth living in Nickerson Gardens, a development located in the Watts neighborhood. This effort is part of the LAFC Foundation’s commitment to providing more than 2,600 youth with access to soccer.

The aforementioned activities will begin with the presentation of the field, in an event presented by MLS Season Pass commentator, Max Bretos, later there will be a conversation between LAFC midfielder Kellyn Acosta and some participants, and a youth soccer clinic led by players from LAFC.

Tigres de la UANL and their bet on the future as well

Also on Monday, Tigres UANL, in a collaborative effort with the Paseo San Nicolás Soccer Academy and the Nemi Foundation, will inaugurate a renovated soccer field that will benefit more than 230 children from the Professor Rubén Darío Middle School and will provide weekly participation opportunities for more than 240 families in the Paseo San Nicolás neighborhood of San Nicolás de los Garza.

The Tigres Foundation projects have generated a positive impact on families and communities by motivating them to live in accordance with the club’s values ​​such as respect, discipline, teamwork, fair play and non-violence.

Different personalities will meet at this event that seeks inclusion in soccer, with reforestation plans, a mural, and Tigres players who will be present at the modest but important ceremony that shows how soccer can act as an agent of change for development. of the societies.

It is important to remember that LAFC will host Tigres on Wednesday, September 27 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles to decide which league takes the title.
