Videos of the controversial funeral were spread through social networks, in a recording you can see an open wooden coffin, where inside is a body covered in weapons, around there are many men who, with cell phones in hand, record or photograph the deceased, who was identified as Julian Sevillano, 39 years old. The men around are making hand signals all the time.
Another video shows the moment in which the criminals, Members of the “Los Fatales” gang leave their firearms on the body of their leader, they come in all sizes and calibers. A man places a hat on the murdered mobster’s head.
The publications had a huge response, some Internet users criticized the lack of respect for recording the dead, while others assured that Ecuador already looks like Mexico.
The murder of Julián Sevillano
According to the media Ok Diario, “Los Fatales” are a gang that operates in the Mocache region and were commanded by Julián Sevillano, whom they called “El Fatal”, but last Wednesday, September 13, was murdered in broad daylight when he was in a car wash with his 20-year-old daughter and a bodyguard.
The murder was also captured on video, which circulates on social networks, in which you can see the moment when a white van arrives at the place where Sevillano’s vehicle is, armed men get out of it and shoot at the mafia leader, his daughter and the bodyguard. Father and daughter died in the armed attack.
The relatives did not allow the authorities to take the body of the criminal, but law enforcement guarded the areas surrounding the wake to avoid more bloodshed, and classes were also suspended to safeguard the integrity of the people, according to the media Al Day.
Some businesses also decided to work half a day or stop activities. According to the media Reporte Índigo, “Los Fatales” are fighting for control of drug routes in Manabí and Los Ríos with other criminal organizations such as “Los Cornejos”, so it is believed that the murder was revenge between gangs. .
