A 12-year-old boy was injured after being hit on Monday night by a bus belonging to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro).

The incident occurred shortly before 8:00 pm at the intersection of Bellaire Avenue and Chandler Boulevard, in the North Hollywood areareported the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

It looks like, The minor was traveling on a scooter when the public transport vehicle hit him.

Authorities said the boy was taken to a local hospital and This Tuesday morning he was reported in critical but stable condition..

At the scene of the accident it was possible to see some debris on the roadwhile the bus involved in the accident remained parked nearby.

“Metro extends its condolences to the injured person. Metro is working closely with authorities to investigate this incident.. “Safety is our top priority and we are committed to ensuring the safety of Metro customers and the communities we serve,” the transit agency said in a statement.

The Los Angeles police said that the incident was under investigation as a traffic collision and no further details were provided.
