1-Year-Old Baby Survives Shot in Shooting Killing Hispanic Parents in Harbor City

A 1-year-old baby survived a gunshot wound Monday night in Harbor City in which his parents died, who were identified by the authorities.

Carlos Loera, 21, and Ashley Guzmán, 18, were sitting inside their vehicle with their 1-year-old son in the back seat. when one or more suspects approached and shot them multiple times before fleeing the scene.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said the shooting was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 253rd Street, and investigators said the victims were sitting in the vehicle outside Loera’s home. when they were attacked.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to the emergency call and They certified that Loera had died at the scene, while Guzmán was rushed to a hospital, where he later died of his injuries..

Initially, reports said that the baby had been unharmed, but later it was reported that the minor was hit by a bullet when he was in a child safety seat in the back of the vehicle.

The baby was sent to the hospital for medical treatment and was later handed over to his relatives.. Details about the injuries suffered by the minor were not released.

Until now, Authorities have not reported any suspects arrested in connection with this double homicide. nor have they provided a description of those responsible.

After the shooting, there was a strong police presence to carry out investigations at the scene, where a car was left with multiple bullet holes visible on the driver’s side. There was also the child seat, which was removed from the victim’s vehicle.
