Majority of voters in key districts in 2024 call the Republican plan to impeach Biden a “political stunt”

The ‘impeachment’ plan for President Joe Biden of the Republicans led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy (California), is rejected by 67% of voters in 18 key districts for the 2024 elections.

This is revealed by a new survey shared exclusively with a Spanish-language medium by Public Policy Polling, which indicates that five of these districts are in California.

In the fields where voters reject the impeachment of Biden are those represented by John Duarte (13), Mike García (27), Young Kim (40), Michelle Steel (45) and David Valadao (22).

The poll establishes that 55% of those surveyed believe that an impeachment investigation is aimed at helping former President Donald Trump, rather than finding the truth about Biden.

56% of independent voters believe the same, while 41% think the plan would be to find the truth.

“56% believe that an impeachment inquiry would be more of a political issue, a partisan stunt,” it says. “Voters view a potential impeachment inquiry as partisan and political in nature and do not support Republican efforts to impeach President Biden without evidence.”

Two-thirds (67%) of voters overall and 73% of independents say President Biden should not face impeachment if Republicans do not find evidence that he took bribes or changed government policies to benefit his businesses. son Hunter Biden.

“Republicans in Congress are unpopular, with a net favorability of -28 points (32% favorable, 60% unfavorable) in these districts, including -38 points (26-64) with independents,” it stands out.

Even McCarthy, who for now supports a Biden investigation, is unpopular with voters in the 18 districts surveyed.

The promoters of the Biden impeachment, such as James Comer, Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene, also register low popularity, with -17 points (23-40), -17 points (33-50) and -38 points (24-62 ), respectively.
