Suddenly, Warren Police Department Officer Brenden Fraser became a hero after pulling over a car for speeding and discovering it was a medical emergency, which he treated himself.
According to official data, Fraser was keeping an eye out for distracted drivers Tuesday when he observed a Chevrolet Camaro going an estimated speed of 75 to 80 mph.for which he decided to give him scope to infringe.
However, when he stopped, he discovered that it was a real emergency, even a woman, who identified herself as the mother of a minor, said: “Here we have a baby dying!”
Fraser saw that the baby was turning blue and that its eyes were rolled back.as he related to ABC News, “I look inside and there’s a kid who has some kind of medical emergency when the guy hands him over to me.”
“He had saliva around his mouth. It looked like it was choking so I put it on my forearm and gave it a couple of blows to the back when I felt some saliva and vomit hit my arm. That made the child breathe again, ”she narrated.
“It’s overwhelming to see him now, but right now there’s not much to think about other than relying on training.Fraser said.
Following his action, the policeman is being hailed as a hero for saving the life of an 18-month-old boy, who finally made it to the hospital for complementary care.
Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer said that the child has been released from the hospital and is at home with his family. He praised Fraser for his quick thinking and action.
“Officer Fraser’s actions at this traffic stop are nothing short of heroic.”, he said in a statement. “This incident demonstrates that police work and traffic stops are not always about issuing tickets or making arrests.”
