It seems to be an open secret. Different reports, such as that of the chain TUDN or the journalist David Medranoindicate that Ricardo Chain will sit on a bench again after his failed adventure in Chivas del Guadalajara. The DT would be chosen to command the Mexican U-23 team.

Unofficially, the information that is known is that Andres Lillinidirector of Mexico Minor National Teamswould have opted for Chain as a replacement for gerardo espinozawho went to Club Puebla of the MX Leaguebut a bureaucratic obstacle thwarted his plans.

Apparently, in the next few hours the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) will make the official announcement. This announcement comes to complete part of the restructuring of Aztec football, which began with the departure of Diego Cocca and the hiring of Jaime Lozano.

The 53-year-old strategist who led the Chivas del Guadalajara for 18 games with a balance of five wins, eight draws and five losses; he will arrive in office along with Mario Alberto Arteaga ‘Caliphs’ as his assistant, reported David Medrano in X (previously Twitter).

Chain returns to the professional arena after almost a year of inactivity due to his dismissal from Chivas in 2022 after six months in the position. Beyond the sacred herd, the technical director has experience. He was assistant to Victor Manuel Vucetich and coach in the MX Expansion League.

His arrival is given thanks to the departure of gerardo espinozawho lasted a little less than a quarter in office due to the offer he received from Club Puebla to direct in the first Mexican division.

However, the regulations of the MX League frustrated his plans, since this establishes that the members of a technical body linked to any of the categories of the Mexico national teamthey will not be able to preside over any club in this competition, but until the tournament after their disincorporation.
