Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United coach, confirmed the loan of left-back Sergio Reguilón for this season.

The Spaniard will fill a gap that United had due to the loss of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Reguilón was at Tottenham, after a season on loan at Atlético de Madrid, but he hardly counted for Ange Postecoglou

“Reguilón is here and he has already trained,” Ten Hag said at a press conference. “He is a very experienced player, who has already played for big clubs in the League and in the Premier”.

“He has a very good past and can play with intensity, so we are happy. We had the problem of Shaw and Malacia being injuredso we have responded well in this emergency situation.”

United expect Reguilón to be ready to face Arsenal this Sunday.

The Spanish Sergio Reguilón, signed by Manchester United, assured that he could not miss the opportunity to join the English, after a start to the season in which he has not counted for Tottenham Hotspur.

Reguilón joins a Manchester United in the emergency room after the mid-term injuries of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia and that he had left the team without left backs.

“In life you have to be prepared for everything and the opportunity to represent this great club, with the history it has, it is one that I could not reject”, said the Spaniard.

“I have spoken with the coach and I know what he needs from me. I am prepared to fulfill my role and help the team. I know I can help United this season; I am ready to fight for this group and show my quality”.
