The Mexican regional singer Ana Bárbara finally responded to the questions about the recent lawsuit that was filed against her by her brother, Francisco Ugaldewho claims that he co-wrote several of his musical hits.
In an interview with People en Español, the interpreter of “Bandido” said she was more than surprised by the actions taken by her brother: “From my mouth I can tell you, I don’t know what is happening (…) It is very difficult for me to talk about it because I don’t know where it comes from, I think it is [por] A helplessness that he must feel when he is doing this”.
According to the first reports of the complaint, Ugalde demands that he be credited as co-author of “Lo busqué”, “Niña mimada” and “Fruta prohibida”, among other topics. However, he is not the only one who claims to be the author of the song “Forbidden Fruit”, as José Manuel Figueroa has pointed out the singer for not giving him the credit he deserves.
In this regard, Ana Bárbara said: “For me all this is difficult, now the two of them will have to talk to agree on their reality that they are living. I have no answer why they do this“.
Despite the bickering, the Mexican left no room for speculation and assured that the songs that have led her to the top of success are her own and no one else. “[Las canciones] They are mine absolutely, I have no co-author”, he pointed out.
Finally, Ana Bárbara revealed that she has nothing left but to attend to said demand and take refuge in the affection of the public to go through this moment that she described as difficult: “I do not understand the two gentlemen and even more so my brother, my work team will take care of it and they will take action on the matter, taking care of my works. Fortunately, all my songs by a blessing from God are registered by my label to which I belonged for 20 years of my life and I thank them for that”.
