The Atlanta Braves defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 in a game that Ronald Acuña Jr. hit a Grand Slam to make history and achieve an all-time record for the first time in the Major Leagues.

The Dodgers started out winning, but in the second inning Atlanta led a comeback against Lance Lynn. With the bases loaded, Ronald Acuña Jr. hit his 30th home run of the season, becoming the first player to have 30 home runs and 60 stolen bases in a season.

The Venezuelan and MVP candidate achieved this record in 133 games. Atlanta Braves have 29 games remaining in the season so you can still increase your home run and stolen base record.

For his part, Mookie Betts was not far behind in the conversation for the discussion of the National League Most Valuable Player award.. The Dodgers star hit two home runs and hit 250 career major league runs.

Betts has 38 on the season and is just one shy of the record for most home runs in history by a leadoff hitter.. The figure is 39 that Alfonso Soriano established with 39 home runs in 2007 with the Washington Nationals.

The Los Angeles team tried a comeback in the last innings, but fell short and they lost by one run in the first game of a four-game series at Dodger Stadium.

Julio Urías goes for revenge

Julio Urías will be the starting pitcher for the Dodgers this Friday for the Dodgers who will seek to even the series. The Mexican has a lifetime record of 3 wins without losses and a 1.71 ERA in 21.0 innings of work against Atlanta.

The Mexican has only allowed 4 career runs against Atlanta, although this year the Mexican has not been optimal with his pitching.

Urías is coming off a bad start after allowing 6 runs against the Boston Red Sox and taking his seventh loss of the season. The Mexican left-hander has a record of 11 wins, 7 losses and a high ERA of 4.41.

For the Atlanta Braves, Max Fried will open, who has a record of 5 wins and 1 loss with a 2.85 ERA.
