A prisoner was stabbed to death and two others were wounded at the Fulton County Jail in Georgiawhere former US President Donald Trump spent 20 minutes on August 24 to be booked.

According to Natalie Ammons of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, citing CNN, the situation was “under control” as of Thursday afternoon and an investigation is underway.

According to reports, the stabbings occurred on the seventh floor of the jail. Investigators believe the incident is gang related.

All three inmates were taken by ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. One of those inmates died from his injuries, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

This is the fifth death of a Fulton County Jail inmate since late July. and the ninth so far this year, however, the final autopsy reports of all of them have not been published.

The US Department of Justice launched a civil rights investigation into the jail in July for dilapidated and unsanitary conditions, as well as violence against detainees.

It should be noted that the former president Donald J. Trump and 18 other co-defendants were booked into the same jail earlier this month.but only one, Harrison Floyd.

Despite this, Thursday’s deadly attack comes just hours after Harrison Floyd, one of Trump’s allies and also charged in trying to reverse his defeat in the 2020 presidential election, was released from Georgian prison.

Floyd, leader of the organization “Black Voices for Trump”, was released after spending six days in Fulton prison.

Floyd, the only one of the 19 charged with the attempted fraud who has spent a night in prison, was released from jail after agreeing to $100,000 bail.
