One of the benchmarks of Mexican soccer struggles to stay active. Marco Fabián is currently a free agent soccer player. The former Bundesliga player would have knocked on the door of Cruz Azul in search of a new opportunity. However, since The Machine they would not have answered his call.

In recent weeks Marco Fabián revealed his interest in returning to the Cementero complex to live a new stage. In fact, the Anfibio assured that there were talks with club managers to return to their changing rooms. But this possibility would have been denied with the passing of the hours.

The former Mexican international spoke again about his possibility of playing with La Máquina. Although Marquitos did not provide a concrete answer for this option, He does consider that his return to Cruz Azul is highly unlikely.

“Now that the opportunity to talk was given or that there were approaches. There was a lot of illusion on my part. I say there was because even though they have not completely given a ‘NO’, if it’s complicated There are many changes, many people involved“Marco Fabián said in an interview with Azteca Deportes.

Despite the fact that Cruz Azul closed its doors on him, Marco Fabián would not sit idly by and try to find a new opportunity, but outside of Mexican soccer. In the event that Marquitos manages to complete this step, he would follow the same path as Carlos “El Gullit” Peña.

“For now I am in other negotiations, other talks outside of Liga MX. But hey, already trying to see what my next destination is, ”he added.

How were the last years of Marco Fabián?

It is no secret to anyone that the last two stages of Marquitos in Mexican soccer they were not outstanding. Marco Fabián played for two clubs that are fighting for the bottom of the Liga MX: the Braves of Juárez and Mazatlán.

With the set of La Frontera, Marco Fabián played 24 games, but he left blank: without goals or assists. Mazatlán offered him a new opportunity at the highest level of Mexican soccer and the Anfibio responded. At this stage, the Aztec played 30 games in which he scored a couple of goals and provided 4 assists.
