Trader Joe’s supermarket chain announced another recall of its food products by contamination with foreign materials during its productionthese are the vegan cookies with the name of the brand.
According to the statement, the voluntary withdrawal of its “multigrain crackers with sunflower and flax seeds” was made. after its supplier claimed the batches were contaminated with metal.
Trader Joe’s detailed that the product “has expiration dates between 03/01/24 and 03/05/24.” Furthermore, he urged consumers who have these cookies on their shelves do not eat them, discard them, or return them to the store for a refund.
So far, the supermarket chain assured that no injuries or damage related to the product have been reported, and highlighted that the cookies are no longer for sale, being gradually withdrawn from the shelves where they have been distributed.
Through a statement, Trader Joe’s said that it likes to “err on the side of caution and is proactive in addressing issues” and that it will therefore stay in touch with its suppliers to prevent this from happening again.
“We voluntarily take action quickly, aggressively investigate potential issues, and remove product from sale if there is any concern about its safety or quality,” the retailer said.
More recalled products
This is not the first time that the brand has announced the recall of some of its products, last month great concern was generated when it announced that the falafel edible contained rocks as well as its broccoli and cheddar soup and another variety of cookies.
