Luis Urías displayed his Mexican strength against Gerrit Cole and the New York Yankees connecting second Grand Slam in three days

The Mexican Luis Urías He is at his sweetest moment with the wood. This Saturday he connected second grand slams in barely three days during the meeting that boston red sox won 1-8 against New York Yankees.

The Mexican displayed all his power in the second inning before the pitches of what is probably the best pitcher today, Gerrit Cole. With only one out, the count is zero and Connor Wong in first, Pablo Reyes in second and Jarren Duran in the third; Uriah ridiculed the cutter 91.5 MPH with a long range drive that sped off at 105.9 MPH and landed in left-center.

With this homer, the second baseman who today was ranked ninth in the offensive battery by the manager Alex Coranot only drove the first four stripes to Bostonbut he hit his third home run of the season. Two of them have been Grand Slam and in just three days.

The Aztec’s shot did not go unnoticed on social networks and gave rise to an avalanche of positive reactions. “Gerrit Cole’s nightmare is the Mexicans”; “It felt very good for him to arrive in Boston, he has recovered his batting”; “He’s on fire.”

On August 17, two days ago, Urías got the first grand slams of his career in the seventh episode of his visit to the Nationals Park against Washington Nationals. In addition to his three homers, the second baseman also has three doubles, 14 RBIs, and a .190/.313/.723 slash in 30 games.

It should be remembered that the native of sonorous started the season with Milwaukee Brewers, where he took 55 at-bats in the batter’s box. Later, he was changed to Red Soxa team that has had a season of ups and downs in the MLB and in which it has acquired a more important role. Currently, he has five RBIs and three runs scored in 28 runs.

The home run this afternoon against cole, is the number 16 received by the American in the season. The 32-year-old pitcher ranks 62nd among all pitchers in MLB in 2023 (Lance Lynn is first with 32).
