They rescue 303 migrants abandoned in a trailer in Mexico, some already with dehydration problems

The search to reach the United States is a recurring desire of thousands of migrants, even if it means risking their own lives by traveling in a dangerous way, like the new episode that took place in Mexico, where a new tragedy was about to be written.

The foregoing after the National Institute of Migration (INM) rescued 303 foreign migrants who were being transported in overcrowded conditions in two simultaneous events in the dry boxes of a truck and a tractor-trailer.

The first case occurred at kilometer 150 of the Orizaba-Puebla highway, during a verification operation in which the driver of the heavy vehicle was stopped, which was accompanied by a white van.

When checking the cargo box, 107 foreigners from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Cuba and Nicaragua were located, They could not prove their regular stay in national territory.

37 adults are treated; 20 unaccompanied minors, as well as 21 family units made up of 50 more people.

The six people who were transporting the foreign migrants and those who were guarding them in a van were turned over to the Attorney General’s Office.

In the second event, an improperly parked tractor-trailer was detected on a road near Fortín de las Floresand when inspected, dozens of people were found inside who, when questioned, said they were foreigners without being able to prove their regular stay in the country.

After the migratory inspection and the corresponding count, it was confirmed that it was a 196 foreigners, of which five adults were from Guatemala and another five adults from India.

Another 19 were unaccompanied girls, boys and adolescents and the remaining 167 were made up of 70 family nuclei. In this case, no one was arrested.
